15 minutes north up Blue Star Hwy from the lake house you will find South Haven, a cute beach town with a great public beach and lighthouse. It has a very walkable downtown area filled with shopping boutiques and sweet treats.

15 minutes south on Blue Star Hwy will bring you straight into St. Joseph. A larger harbor town, it has more diverse restaurant choices and groceries.

- DeGrandchamp Farms store for locally grown fruit. Might be a little late in the season for blueberry picking, but they may still have some available to pick.
